Watch highlights from the H360 Annual Board Meeting in Palo Alto, California

On October 14, the Humanitas360 Institute held its annual Board Meeting in Palo Alto, California, USA. During the meeting, H360 president Patrícia Villela Marino and her team presented some of the institute’s key programs and projects for 2024, including the Potable Water Coalition for Indigenous Peoples, the “I’m Free, Now What?” video series for former imprisoned people, and the partnership with the social business Tereza.

Among the board members present were Adriana Szasz Franco, Cleide Aparecida Vitorino, Jô Santana, Paulo de Rezende, Piero Bonadeo, Reginaldo Lima, and Ricardo Villela Marino, who received the 2024 Humanitas360 Annual Report firsthand. The new Board President, Ambassador and former Minister Rubens Ricupero, sent a special video message to all attendees (watch here).

Supported by H360 in her studies and her leadership role among Indigenous communities in Colombia, Alejandra Izquierdo was also present for a conversation with The Trust for the Americas CEO Linda Eddleman. The PDR Philanthropic Fund, which supports Humanitas360, was represented by its three founders, Patrícia and Ricardo Villela Marino with their son Daniel, as well as its Executive Director, Ricardo Anderáos.

The Board Meeting was preceded by visits to the Stanford University campus, where the Humanitas360 team attended a class by Jonathan Levav, Professor of Marketing at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Indian entrepreneur Vishal Sikka, whose academic journey is also connected to Stanford, shared his experience with board members on the topic of artificial intelligence.
