Maní’s restaurant’s team conducts workshop at the co-op in the Women’s Penitentiary II of Tremembé
H360’s work to develop the cooperative at the Women’s Penitentiary II of Tremembé captured Maní Group’s attention, which brings together the restaurant led by the chef Helena Rizzo, Casa Manioca, A Padoca do Maní and Manioca Iguatemi. About to inaugurate the second branch of Padoca, the group invited the cooperative members to sow decoration pieces for the new location. To this end, the Maní team led a workshop with the architect Vitor Penha and the designer Luca Schiller, who are in charge of the project of the new branch, which opens at Iguatemi Mall in São Paulo this coming July.
During the workshop, the co-op members improved their sowing techniques, employing the color palette of the new Padoca. The inmates are sowing drawings by Helena Rizzo, created exclusively for the opening. The pieces include unique frames and pillows made with linen and tricoline. The partnership between the co-op and the Maní Group also includes the production of an exclusive collection, with drawings by the chef sold at Padoca at Iguatemi.
In addition to that, in the coming weeks, products made at the co-op by inmates and former inmates with the brand Tereza will be sold at the first Maní Padoca in the west side of São Paulo. Placemats and handkerchiefs, tote bags, clutches and pillows of the collection “Maps & Flowers” will be available for purchase at the restaurant by the end of July.
