President of H360 joins São Paulo public hearing on industrial Hemp regulation

On March 27, the president of the Humanitas360 Institute, Patrícia Villela Marino, participated in the public hearing of the Parliamentary Front for Medicinal Cannabis and Industrial Hemp at the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo. Open to the public, the event was the first hearing held by the parliamentary front in 2025 and focused on the theme: “Perspectives on the Regulation of Industrial Hemp Cultivation in Brazil.”

Alongside the H360 president, the panel included state deputies Caio França and Eduardo Suplicy, respectively the coordinator and vice-coordinator of the front; Ana Paula Porfírio, an advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock; Embrapa researcher Daniela Bittencourt; and Bruno Pegoraro, president of the Ficus Institute, which is part of our ecosystem of organizations supported by the PDR Philanthropic Fund.

In her speech, Patrícia Villela Marino emphasized the importance of regulating hemp cultivation and implementing its production chain in Brazil, highlighting its positive impacts on the economy, environment, and society. She also mentioned the installation made with hempcrete—a construction material derived from hemp—that the institute will present at the Venice Biennale of Architecture starting next month.
