Chef Helena Rizzo invites the cooperative members at the Women’s Penitentiary II of Tremembé to sow decoration pieces for the new Padoca do Maní
H360’s work to develop the cooperative at the Women’s Penitentiary II of Tremembé captured Maní Group’s attention, which brings together the restaurant led by the chef Helena Rizzo, Casa Manioca, A Padoca do Maní and Manioca Iguatemi. For the second branch of Padoca, which opened at Iguatemi Mall in São Paulo in August, the group invited the cooperative members to sow decoration pieces for the new location. The inmates embroidered drawings by Helena Rizzo, created exclusively for the opening.
They are exclusive paintings and pillows, made of linen and tricoline fabrics. To carry out the work, the Maní team gave a workshop with the architect Vitor Penha and designer Luca Schiller, in charge of the site project, at the cooperative space inside the penitentiary. During the workshop, the members improved embroidery and finishing techniques, working with the color palette of the new Padoca.
The H360 team was visiting the Maní team at the new place, and planning to produce an exclusive collection, featuring chef designs, to be available for purchase at the restaurant.
