Female Inmates Start the First Co-op in Brazil inside a Prison

Walking in the women’s prison in Ananindeua, Pará, one does not feel confined. In this detention center in northern Brazil, inmates have the opportunity to study, take sewing classes, bakery, gardening, yoga and others. Among those activities, inmates can also join the handicraft cooperative and earn for their own work. That is the first cooperative started in a prison in Brazil. More information in our video.
