What it is
“Difficult Conversations” is a project created by the Humanitas360 Institute in partnership with the social impact hub CIVI-CO and anthropologist Juliano Spyer, with the aim of promoting frank and informed debates on sensitive issues of our time – from the difficult relationship between religion and politics to the regulation of medicinal Cannabis in Brazil, among others. Held in person at the CIVI-CO auditorium, in São Paulo, and broadcast live on the H360 YouTube channel, the series of debates is moderated and curated by Spyer.
Objectives
Conceived as an exercise in active citizenship, “Difficult Conversations” seeks to illuminate urgent issues while creating a space where divergence and a plurality of worldviews – essential for democratic coexistence – can engage in open and respectful dialogue. Open to the public, who can attend in person or online, always free of charge, the series aims to include as many people as possible in contemporary debate.
