On May 19, the Humanitas360 Institute, the Ficus Institute, and CIVI-CO welcomed Ilana Trombka, Secretary-General of the Federal Senate since 2015, for a conversation on “Leadership, Gender, and Building an Equal Future.” The event focused on preparing institutional environments for the inclusion of women in senior leadership and decision-making spaces, drawing on her experience in Brasília.
Holding a doctorate in Business Administration from FGV and internationally recognized in the field of public management, Ilana Trombka led a deep reflection on equity in positions of power, sharing pioneering initiatives aimed at the inclusion of women, racialized people, people with disabilities, and people in situations of social vulnerability. The event was also attended by H360 board members George Legmann and Renata Moura.
In addition to the talk, Trombka donated books from the Coleção Escritoras do Brasil (Brazilian Women Writers Collection), published by the Federal Senate Library, to the Book Club that the Humanitas360 Institute runs at the Tremembé II Women’s Penitentiary, in the countryside of São Paulo. The works will be read and discussed by the project’s participants, which promotes access to literature and sentence reduction through reading.
Initiatives like this reflect the commitment of the ecosystem of organizations supported by the PDR Philanthropic Fund — which includes the Humanitas360 Institute, the Ficus Institute, CIVI-CO, and social business Tereza, represented at the event through a gift presented to Ilana Trombka.
